A New Bow
I am a massive user of the huntsman and have become a rather proficient user of such a weapon and recently I have been pondering over an idea for a new bow.
After the release of the Fortified Compound with the game Thief I was slightly dissapointed as all it was was basically a reskin and didn't bring anything new to the game. So I stuck to using the huntsman and after seeing more and more Fortified Compound users over the huntsman I was thinking about an idea for a new type of bow and arrows. My idea is that this bow is only available to those that are highly proficient in using such a weapon (maybe an achievement item or otherwise something incredibly rare) , which I have been told on many servers I am.
Although I am slightly sick of being told that Huntsman snipers a crap etc. as within 20 minutes of joining a server which has had a game for say a few rounds of payload and players with say 100 points on the leaderboard I can top that with the Huntsman. So I would like a bow showing the bad users from the highly proficient.

My Idea is a Bow, taking on the modern appearance of the fortified compound (however redesigned slightly), which uses maybe an array of trick arrows which can be used for certain purposes. Although one would only have a limited supply of each type of arrow, while being able to switch between the different types of arrow by pressing R much like switching between resistance types with The Vaccinator.

However this bow would have an ammo capability of 15 arrows opposed to 13, with a limit on how many of each arrow one can use (although should one just use the normal arrows then he/she has 15 of them, but once the ammo is gone then has to restock etc.)

My Ideas for the different trick arrows are:

4 Explosive Arrows - A slightly smaller blast radius than the soldiers Rockets however does more damage for the more people it catches in it's blast. Deal 50% less damage too buildings. Headshot Gibs Player

4 Poison Arrows- Upon hit slows the target by 30% and deals -4 health per second. Has no effect on buildings. Poison 15 seconds.

1 Sapper Arrow - Saps Building's much like the spy's sapper, 50% harder to remove from sentry due to limited supply. Upon hit on Spy slowly saps away cloak untill gone. Upon hit on medic, saps away ubercharge (altough does not count on Ubercharged medic)/
No Headshots. Cannot be retreaved from ammo crates. Only retreaved upon respawn
Use Wisely

3 Stun Arrow - Stuns the opponent who is it although deals no damage

3 Flare Arrow - Multi- Purpose, can be used to set enemies on fire or alert your team of your location xD, One Problem There: May be seen by the enemy team.

15- Normal Arrows (In conjunction with how many other arrows are used, someone may use 3 Poison Arrows, A sapper Arrow and 11 Normal Arrows etc.)

Please Tell Me what you thought of my idea and if this sounds too OP or not very useful, I tried to balance everything. Thank you for reading

[EDIT]: Just to make say one of the main purposes of this bow is to kind of enforce team work as a lot of the arrows are only valuable when working in coalition with other members of your team. So, yes, it can be used as a sort of lone-ranger kind of bow with the trick arrows but also requires team work for some of the strategies this may use to work.

You are right, we definitely need a new bow!

I like your idea but it sounds overpowered. Maybe if the weapon can't do headshots it might be balanced or if there's a delay in releasing the arrow.

Yes a new bow

teamwork already enables fire arrows. granting snipers the ability to rocket jump, sap buildings, do long range damage over time and everything else the 'proficient' bow would allow would not be balanced in the slightest

like the idea of a new bow,but operating the bow you suggested will be too complicated and is too op.
mabye only 2 or 3 types of arrows?

Just to point out, thats why I said it would be for the highly proficient in the bow making it a lot harder for the people who are good with it and bringing a challenge to using the bow xD

I agree, not many people do work together, being the purpose of this bow. Because in most games I don't get anyone who aids me as a huntsman sniper. Im on the front lines dominating about 3 people while all these soldiers and pyros are at the back, preparing to be struck upon and defend themselves.
