Amputator is very effective if you are defensive while Ubersaw is very effective if you are attacking

Neither is more effective on offense or defense. It depends more on what you pair it with and what part of which map you're on. An amputator healing area spam can be super effective on both offense and defense.

Normally Ubersaw. It's better to defend myself and the rewards is nice.

I pull out the Amputator every oncy in a while when people will bunch up in certain places.
For example chokepoints in pl maps where I can give heals via Taunt.

Amputator is very underrated.

That's because every other Medic melee option if toppled by the Ubersaw.

Because I deleted my Ubersaw and I'm too lazy to trade for one on scrap.tf. Unless if I find an Ubersaw any time around, I'm probably going to stick with Amputator.

I use More Vitasaw and Soleem Vow.
I use the soleem vow in attack and Vitasaw in defence
