I'm coming around to this game!
At first TF2 was just a little too silly for my tastes. That and the game just seemed like a big cluster♥♥♥♥. I randomly jumped into some multiplayer though as the Pyro and Soldier and it was fun.

Honestly I think Pyro might be my favorite class. The flamethrower taunt is hilarious.

Also as the Medic, when should I use the syringe/needle gun? It's also a ballistic weapon so it's a little trickier to use. But it's just... playing as the Medic is kind of hard because you havet o split your attention between your heal target and somehow avoiding the chaos around you.

I just don't know what the point of the offensive weapon of the medic is and when to use it.

My suggestion is that you also read the wiki (http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Main_Page) if possible, and read the Catch Up Comic (http://www.teamfortress.com/catchup/), which will hopefully make you understand the game better.

And find a class you're comfortable with. If you have the time, go on Offline Practice and try out all the classes, until you find the one that you love. I was first a Scout, then Soldier, then Medic, and finally settled on Pyro.

Only use it when in danger.

Playing offensive medic makes you a terrible person by default.

I don't play offensive medic. lol why would i pick "medic" and go on offense that doesn't make sense. But what's danger? b/c healing people you're always in danger.

I found a cool rhythm tho (I set it to click to use the medigun, it uses up less brain RAM) where i kinda sat behind the front line and was just healing ppl as they needed it, the medic icons above ppls heads really helped

"danger" as in everyone around you is dead and you're running away to the nearest meatshield you can find.

Danger usually means if your patient dies or you somehow get separated from your team. That's when you pull out the Syringe Gun and backpedal to make an escape. It's more of a deterant to make enemies think twice about chasing you.

Danger as in you need to shoot instead of heal to survive. Like ah... theres a spy with low health about to get killed, and you can shoot the guy thats coming after you two instead of healing the spy, which will probably die anyways.

I just had to make sure. Combat Medic is actually a fairly common thing to see.

By danger I mean a class is actively targeting you and that you are in danger of getting killed.

Are you using stock needlegun btw? Crossbow and Overdose are objectively better, so if you get a chance try those.
