It's annoying because of the way people use it as a "Get out of jail free" card. Even if you throw jarate or mad milk on them they just run away. I don't want to switch my class to Pryo just to deal with a spy who I know is using the Dead Ringer. It loses its purpose of making people think you're dead when actually they know you're using the DR and they're waiting for you to pop up again.

they run away but you can still see them, especially with mad milk better than jarate, and you can chase after them faster. also try bleeding as it wont do much damage but depletes their meters drastically and its like afterburn so just hit and run

There's three spies. Enforcer + Spycicle + Dead Ringer + Redtape. Noob spies who don't have what it takes. Then they're stealthy spies who can backstab, amby headshot, avoid spy checks and do everything. Then there's the elite version of those spies, those who can use the Dead Ringer either in actually combat, or use it to fake their death, and when the rocekt comes down at the right moment, uncloak and backstabd the medic with full uber that would've won them the game.

It's a trade for stealth to get behind the enemy unseen for a way to chainstab without dying.

I prefer CnD over dead ringer, cause I like CTF maps the most, my favorite map being CTF_Well. Heck, with enough practice and no interruptions, you can get from your spawn room to the enemy intel in about 2 minutes.
