Scout can take 110 health of a spy, and easily kill him, Demo and Solly can do massive damage to said spy not to mention knockhim around, Engies naturally spycheck well with some 60 damage shots.

That would work, but in all the scenarios they already know there a spy, pyros job is to FIND the spy, and if the team wants they can do that.

Scout is faster than pyro and shoot any frieldlies a couple of times to spy check. pyro is only better against cloak and dagger spies who just sit in permanent cloaking all game long, but who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about them?

Not against dead ringer spies. Killing them as soldier or heavy is too annoying to bother. -Even if you know where they'll go you are too slow to catch up before its ready again.
