balance changes - what valve should do.
first of all the Ambassador change is useless and it rewards or punishes spies for luck now- dont change it please.

Gloves of Running Urgently doesnt need a change at all.

the rescue ranger is a good change but it hurts me a bit.

the sandman doesnt need a change it is fine as it is. many people will argue with me cause you dont have the option to do anything but move a bit but i say this, you have a single ball ONLY not 10 and it recharges after 15 secs. i often get hit by it and i dont get frustrated and i often find a way to dogde it.

Flying Guillotine now is useless, dont change it and nerf it to the ground pleeeeaaaseeee

the B.A.S.E Jumper needs one other mechanic which is you can only revome and redeploy the item only once.

Lastly Your Eternal Reward needs a change but not remove entirely it's one challenge but instead i suggest doing something the youtuber after breakfast said which is when you do backstab someone you unlock the discuise of the player you killed.(you killed the soldier you can discuise any time you want as the solder but if you kill a spy after you can discuise both a spy and a soldier)

those are my suggestions for the balance changes.

They explain why they made these changes and these changes are for good reason. It'll take some research on how competitive play works but you'll see.

Anyways if you're scared that top down balance is going to ruin pubs, dont, because anything goes in pubs and it's casual fun where people play with what weapons they want, be they good or bad.

it's not useless because it limits the effective range
it doesn't punish spies with rng because they shouldn't be going for or relying on shots outside of the effective range to begin with
first shot inaccuracy is a calculated balancing decision and not just rng
this is the least impactful nerf they could have done to limit the amby's range

you just spam it into a teamfight and if you hit somebody, it's a free kill for your team
it's not even enough to fix a mechanic that broken, but this change at least gives the person hit the ability to suppress attackers

Was good outside combo? 50+40 dot damage is good for projectile with cd? Y, you must be really stupid to dont use this ♥♥♥♥ instead shoot people with hitscan and get 100+ damage, lol.

it's not a consistent skill weapon and valve stated as much in the blogpost; you just fire it off into the enemy team hoping to get a lucky hit in order to get the most effectiveness out of it in higher level play

crossmapping people with the cleaver for minicrits was luck and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be hit by
it has a 6 second cooldown and reducing it for midrange hits means you're bleeing people left and right

Y, you must be really stupid to dont use this♥♥♥♥♥♥instead shoot people with hitscan and get 100+ damage, lol.
you're not getting 100 damage hits at the range at which you use the cleaver
the scattergun isn't a weapon that you can spam at chokes for free bleeds

So, why dont fix facestabs or any more broken mechanic?
because you can't fix latency

In pubs you can go around only using the hua long heater, buffalo steak sandvich and holiday punch and get work done.

So you'd just be whipping people with the DA and using the Jumper to reach teammates faster?

Kinda sounds like a really crappy support class.
