Are you sure the games are installed under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common? Are you using an Internal Hard Drive or External Hard Drive? External Hard Drives tend to have issues with Steam recognizing games, so if you have an internal drive, please use that to save your games.
