problem with smoke, muzzle flash and other particles

any news about this problem? I really want to play the game. But it's so annoying with the weird muzzle flash.

I had this problem too, along with terrible smoke effects. Switching to DX9 fixed it all for me.

gtx285 with dx10. Switching to dx9 works, but i got other weird graphic bugs and micro lags on dx9. So i want to play on dx10 which is stable and smooth. I just need a fix for this damn muzzle flash. You can't see anything while shooting.

i have the same GPU as you and have the same problem. I'm begining to think it's something to do with the GTX285

well, sees to me the nvidia cards have it bad, while AMD never actually had an issue so patch did nothing

You just saved me $50, thanks man! This game has been plagued by annoying bugs, first the insulting FOV, the nonsensical resolution issues (can't change, 3'1) and slew of other crap! Who the ♥♥♥♥ tested this??

When I read aobut the res and fov fix, I almost purchased, but I decided to take a peek on the forums just in case. I have the same card and won't be upgrading for another few months, so I'll grab this when it's $5, like I did the first.

Funny enough, the first game never worked properly for me either, which is why i waited to pucrchase this, but my roomate couldn't wait, we have the exact rigs. Trying to get help on their forums was an even worse experience, they kept blaming his set up during the res debacle. Not a happy customer of these guys folks!

I only started having particle issues during the Factions DLC. Some would be a red square instead of bloodsplatter. My issue is intermittent and fairly minimal. I run Very High graphics and tesselation with 2x SSAA on my GTX680. The engine is optimized for Nvidia GPU's, needless to say I'm still loving this game.

i had the problem with the anoying flash cyrcles for a gun flash. i set my video settings to very high, and so played through the kind'of intro with super low fps, and so set it to normal and it was fine, no weird gunflashy's n ♥♥♥♥. dont ask why it worked for me cuz i dont know...
