Quite possibly the best game i've played so far, containing the most best story I could ever experience and read.
Metro 2033 contains a nice sad atmosphere with the fictional addition of monsters, mutants, and custom guns. An innocent young protagonist (If you consider 20 years old as young)
who speaks about his journeys and experiences with the best voice I could ever hear also narrates the story as the main character, who's name is Artyom. He's not like most protagonists you see, who act like a badass, have a confident attitude, or just act annoying with decent one-liners; instead, Artyom is rather a silent person who tends to have that shy, but courageous personality. Back to the game, you can have the choice to shoot and scavenge without a care of losing ammo or you can play stealthily and scavenge like a realistic situation.
You may be told to play this game with Russian voices because, "You'd be a true Metro fan." "It's suits the atmosphere better" or "It makes everyone sound tough and burly which makes the game better." It doesn't and people who say that are just luring you because they want to keep the Russian stereotype going or they could probably be Russian themselves and want you to try something new
, even though the Russian stereotype is completely GONE in this game and it has no place for that kind of stuff. It's best to play this with English voices or whatever language you speak that this game has, but i'm not one who forces people into something.
The only negative things I can really think about are:
The usage of repeating voice-lines that aren't used for a specific character. Ex: A bandit's pain sound is also used for one of Artyom's pain sounds.
The length of the story, it's short and sweet but I really want to experience more of it.
Overall, I give this game a rating of 9.5/10
Would S.T.A.L.K again.
