Low Fps
Currently running it at max and averaging around 20fps. My specs are GTX 770, AMD 8350, 8gb ram, 990fxa ud7. When I switch over to direct X 10 its average is 100+.

This game is very demanding and it is not optimized particularly well. The DX11 in this game activates Tesselation which is not too hard on your GPU but it also activates DOF which is pretty killer on your card. There is no way to turn it off in the game setting without switching to DX10 but you can edit the config file to turn it off and still use DX11. Check out this thread http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/935068-metro-2033/53962903 It will explain where to find your config file and things you can do to increase fps. Don't worry about changing the r_gi or fov settings the main thing you want to do is change r_vsync to on and look for the r_dx11_dof 1 (its toward the bottom of the config file) and switch the 1 to a 0. That will turn off DOF and give you an increase in fps. Turning the Vsync setting to on will also boost your fps. Also maybe try turning off Physx to see what kind of a difference that makes.

Your 770 can do way better than 20fps with the dx11 features still enabled...

... turning the vsync setting to on is key for some odd reason

Seems like the thing that helped the most was changing DOF to 0. It's not pefect, but I'm averaging around 50-60 now with the occasional drop to around 30.

superdelphinus 18 OCT 2013 a las 15:18
yeah you should be getting miles more than that on that card. mine is an oc'd 7950 and that is at least hitting 60 (don't know anything above that, that's my refresh rate) on max settings at 1080p
