Question about Scrooge and Wheeler Dealer Achievements
Do you need all the golden bullets in order to save up extra for these two or can you just save up regular bullets?
And what point in the game should I go to a market and do these two?
Sep 28 @ 2:29pm
you don't need to do anything special to get the scrooge achievement. I got over 1300 MGR's in one playthrough before. Of course I didn't buy anything and I sold some weapons that were worth alot of MGR's but it's possible to get it in one playthrough you just have to be stingy. As fars as the other achievement goes just go to the ammo dealer and buy as many of the cheapest rounds that you can and then sell them all back and repeat until you get the achievement.

Ok couldint I just play the game on easy and use my knife through the whole playthrough to save up more rounds too? I was trying to work on Explorer through most of my game play already but Im about to give up and do this guide I found on youtube for it as well.
Which I just started. I also heard for the Wheeler Dealer you can just go to a kiosk stand after you have alot of rounds and if you mess up just reload the last check point or something?
Sep 28 @ 4:27pm
Yeah you can reload the checkpoint for the Wheeler achievement. You can play through 95% of this game using only the knife and throwing knives. I know because I made the only knife only guide for this game on Ranger Hardcore.

Ok one more thing I mess up on the Nikki thing and didint realize you needed to refuse Bourbans advice does that deduct me from the Exploer achievement or nah?
Sep 28 @ 5:09pm
I don't know about that one.

Here is a good trick to do to get some MGR's at Armory station. Start the video around 3:20.
Sep 28 @ 5:16pm
Its the one in Bourban where you have to talk with the one girl in the red hair and she ask for a bullet and she tranforms into a dude and he steals like 50 some rounds from you I think. I wasint sure if that was an interaction where it is related to Explorer or not.
Sep 28 @ 5:19pm
I only did that one time. When I played through and got the explorer achievement I didn't do it so I guess you don't have to.
Edit : Just checked out your achievements and I can't believe you got the Metro Dweller achievement without getting the explorer acievement. I remember having a really hard time getting the Metro Dweller achievement so it's good that you already got it. Also have you gotten the optional ending?
Sep 28 @ 5:30pm
The optional ending wasint sure if there was one yet for it or not do I need to chat with somebody for that one to pop up?
Sep 28 @ 5:49pm
It's kind of hard to say what you have to do to get the optional ending but I will try to explain it as best as I can. First the most important thing to do is to get as many moral points as you can. A moral point is when you do something "good" and the screen flashes white and you hear some noises like whispering. Examples of moral points would be giving the beggar a bullet and giving one to the little boy to take you to Bourbon. Also sometimes oyu get moral points for listening to conversations. That goes for in the stations as well as the bad guys. You can also do "bad" things that will take away a moral point. There are many other things to do to get them but it has been so long since I have played the game and I don't remember all of them. The next big thing to do is whenever you have a vision or cut scene with a Dark One and you have the ability to move you need to walk towards it, not away from it. Also whenever you see a Dark One while you are playing a through a level just stand where you are and wait for it to go away. Like in Dead City right after the flashback of the playground scene. As soon as the flashback starts don't move at all. Wait until it is over and when you see the Dark One continue to stand still and wait for him to go away. You also get a moral point for doing this. If all else fails you may be able to look on Youtube for a video explaining how to get the good ending. It is an Achievement that doesn't show up on the list and it is called "Enlightened". Do a Youtube search for how to get the Enlightened ending for Metro 2033 and i'm sure you will find something. Sorry for the long response but I hope it helps.
Sep 28 @ 6:59pm
Yeah so far so good I been doing this one youtube guide and have been getting alot of flashes so thats good then nothing negative as of so far besides doing that Nikki thing in Bourban but other then that hopefully I'll get it.
Sep 28 @ 7:23pm
Just curios what guide are you following?
Sep 28 @ 11:39pm
This one right now
anyways was also wondering for some reason I think I miss a few things in Khans lvl if I did screw up which Im sure I didint could I just go back to that load game and it will pop up then and there or not really?
Sep 28 @ 11:58pm
You should definitely check out my guides. I have 3 guides for Metro 2033 all on Ranger Hardcore difficulty. I know where pretty much every item is in the game and I do evrything that can possibly be done. Also I am the only one on Youtube with a Knife Only walkthrough. I get the Enlightened ending on my regular Ranger Hardcore guide and my knife and air weapons guide but I missed something on my knife only guide so I didn't get it. The quality of my videos is also alot better. Check out some of my playlists if you want.
