Is this game scary?

I don't want to sound like a pansy, but I want to know what i'm getting into here. It's the middle of the night. If it is scary, how is it scary?

The only scary part for me is when its completly quiet and then a mutant comes out of nowhere, screams in your face and then starts hitting me only to jump back into the darkness.

Ethreal level is scary, in my opinion. But the future portrayed in Metro 2033 is scary enough that make this game tagline "Fear the future" fitting.

imo it is pretty damm creepy game, though even games like skyrim manage to scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me at times so idunno how valid my opinion is : p
