game struggles HELP
i have a gtx 660ti
i7-870
8GB RAM

and the game plays HORRIBLE fps below 30 yes my drivers are up to date

Having similar issue with a GTX 670 PE. 40-60fps. Game freezes for three seconds at a time and then resumes. I knew it was a beast of a game...but it should at least be playable on Normal settings.

Same. Was surprised how bad the game ran on my system. Had to bump the settings to medium to get 60fps.

My rig can handle BF3 on the highest settings.

I'm getting 25-40fps constant with DX11 and highest vid settings on following sys specs, games been very playable for 10 hours now.

i5-2500k
GTX 560ti
4 gig Ram

I've got a gtx 550 ti, and I've had no issues. . . and my processor isn't even a core, it's a randon(?) one of the mid grade ones.

Yes the 560 is a sleeper card and with an i5 processor it rocks, I've had no problems with all games on ultra settings and 4 gig of ram, always pulling 25-60 FPS on all games...

You didn't specify what settings you're using or resolution you're at. However, don't even try to run this game maxed. And try to keep DX11 off. It brings my 3570k@4.4/670FTW to its knees as well(below 60). Putting it to DX10, High, AAA, AF x16, no physx, game ran nearly over 90 fps at all times @1080p.

To you maybe :(. I wish 30-40 was playable for me. It must be on a case to case basis, but for me personally, as soon as I drop under 60, whether it be 55fps, the difference in fluidity is too much for me to find preferable. If I ever dropped to 30ish FPS, it just feels like an awful stuttery lag fest. Guess it's a curse :(, but it gives me an excuse to get more powerful hardware :P

I must say just to experiment I turned DX11 off my FPS did jump to 50-70

Also meant to mention that today I arrived at the area were you find the little boy and his dead uncle, from that point on the mouse started to have a weird fluidity to it as if it were over comprimising and would not be tight anymore and stop on a dime, anyone have this happen?

This game is terribly optimised. The problem is the game. The only solution is to buy an extremely high end GPU.

I just played through this part last night and I'm pretty sure it's because you're carrying the boy on your back, so your movement is kind of affected by that. It goes back to normal once you stop carrying him around.

Thanks Frosty, yes once i went past that segment it went back to normal, wondered what the hell was causing that lol, also to others on this post stating you have to have a high end GPU, again I have a 560ti and i5 CPU and maintaining around 33FPS... FYI the human eye can only process that much anyway, TV is around 30FPS, game is playable and im even playing in DX11 at res @1080
