Should i Play Last light first or 2033?

2033 first definitely. pretty important story wise

Best thing now I suppose is to wait for the "Redux" version of 2033. Then you'll get the original story of 2033 with the improved controls of Last Light

Dur play 2033 because it comes firts and if you play last light first you will miss out on things from 2033.

The hardest difficult seting in last light is like easy in 2033(ranger mode).

If you've got LL, then you get the novel for free. I started playing 2033 and reading the novel at the same time. Once I finished both, then I started LL. You really won't understand what's going on at the start of LL without the back story from 2033 (game and / or novel). As for the graphic engine update, well, I thought the old 2033 looked pretty darn good on my current (not very powerful) hardware. I would probably have to buy/build a new PC to get any benefit from Redux. And with Redux you now have the choice to play it on the new consoles.

last light is way easier, so that should be taken in account too

I played Last Light first because I had lost interest in 2033 and had given up with it some months before hand. At the time I just couldn't get to grips using the air filters, which of course add another dimension to the game. However, I really got into Last Light and completed it. So I restarted Metro 2033 from the beginning and fully enjoyed the game to completion.

I would say though, due to the story (as per others comments), it's supposed to start with 2033 and then onto Last Light. I found I still understood what it was all about and it seemed I was sort of doing a Prequel that way around. It still worked for me and I enjoyed it - fantastic games in my opinion.

I played Metro: Last Light first cuz it was on a sale from $39.99 to like 7 bucks. Now they sell the entire game with all dlcs for like 13 bucks and the retail price is 20 bucks..damn lol

last light is better but 2033 is the first one so get that first

First play 2033 becouse it is the first and the story is great, maybe you will not understend it if you play Last Light for first.
