I didnt know I didnt bought a FULL game...
Hi

Bought SotS2 Enhanced Edition a couple of days ago but:

- Got no cinematic trailer at start of the game and the "Cinematics" tab is greyed out (doesnt work)
- Same thing for the "Scenario" tab while creating a new game, its grey and deesnt work also

Im I the only one with this problem or this features are disabled for everyone even if they are listed on the manual as existing.

Got a feelling like someone is trying to save some bandwith.... :(

no theyve been disabled. the cinematics really dont matter and are readily available on youtube. as for scenarioes i was under the immpression the guy responsible for their development quit so who knows if that will be implemented any time soon.

It doesn't start and it's not complete? Wow I regret buying this.

Actually you can see all the cinematics from the launch screen, instead of from the game menu.

But why would they just tack the cinematics onto the launch screen? It's traditional in space strategy games to get a cinematic after beating the game. It's kind of like a reward. Taping them onto the launcher just feels cheap, IMO.

To save bandwidth for those who don't have it mainly. Opinions vary, doesn't seem cheap to me, rather play the game then see the video I'll look at once or twice total that has a lot of storage space. As someone pointed out in a different forum, most people try to mod out video after seeing it once. Point is, it's available and has been since day one.

I think that's kind of a lame excuse, though. I can't see any scenario where you could justify downloading a 7.6 gygabyte game, but not what? a few hundred megabytes for the cinematics? I doubt the cinematics are more than a minute or two long each. As for removing them - why? Games like this usually let you skip them by pressing escape.

oh god this is like the time a guy insisted the xcom was incomplete because he didnt get the pre order bonus. the cinematics are available on youtube and kerberos has far more important things to worry about right now.

Considering most people skip them anyway... and they are availible from the launcher...

As for the Scenario tab, they are not in as the person responsible for creating the framework and such left before the game was shipped last year, and Paradox didn't seem to see fit to bother to find someone else to complete it.

Most of this information is availible on the Kerb forums, including what most of the future plans are for SOTS2 and The Pit.
