Really laggy strategic view. Is it my computer or is the game not optimized for lower end systems yet?
The lag is bad enough I haven't been able to force myself through even a single turn. Every button I mouse over takes like 3 seconds to realize I moused over it, research tree and ship builder are just horrifically laggy. Anyway, I'm wondering if the game will be optimized for a system like mine at some point or if I would need an upgrade to play. My comp's specs are below.

I play at lowest quality, non-windowed, everything off, at 1024x720 resolution.

Model MS-7365
Total amount of system memory 2.00 GB RAM

Total size of hard disk(s) 233 GB
Disk partition (C:) 24 GB Free (233 GB Total)
Media drive (D:) CD/DVD
Media drive (E:) CD/DVD
Media drive (G:) CD/DVD

Display adapter type ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
Total available graphics memory 1023 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 256 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 767 MB

Your system just barely meets minimum requirements.
Your CPU is a massive bottleneck though.

Unfortunately im not sure Sots2 will run smoothly on your PC.

I can only suggest attemping to play at lowest possible resolution on the smallest maps (2player). This may give an acceptable experience with your posted system.
(2gb ram, 1.86ghz core 2 duo, Radeon HD 2600 XT)

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the quick reply :). Quick question, what would be the lowest resolution settings possible; I'm a little confused because there's no slider bar. Does the game have a lowest resolution or is it dependent on my monitor?

1024x768 is probs the very lowest it can go.

Resolution won't help much if your CPU is struggling to process the interface.

kinda lame seeing as how my computer's CPU falls below the minimum requirements for Shogun 2 Total War yet I can play that game fine on lowest settings....
