Having been away for sometime, hoping that some improvement might be made, I return to the game to find most of the old problems that make the game unplayable. The leader is the transition times between screens or between turns. You could knit a battlecruiser from confetti in the time it takes to cycle through a turn. The developers seem unable to do anything about this issue. There are a host of balance/game play issues as well, like a diplomacy model that's about as deft as a one-armed paper hanger, overpowered van Neumann ships, crippling economy model, dumb research tree, but why bother. Most of these might be tolerated but not when it takes so long just to move from screen to screen or turn to turn. Bah Humbug on the Christmas hats as well.
