By the way, it happens after everytime the startup reaches "Initialising Maplogic"

In order to get rid of this problem, you will have to clear the "local" cache in Documents in the Paradox Interactive / map / cache directory. simply delete all the files in there and restart the game; the loading time should be long, but it should work.

where do i find the cache directory on my computer

I did a search for Paradox Interactive /map/cache directory but it does not exist on my computer. Is this directory part of the download? Is it created the first time I play Victoria II? I see a file called local in the logs directory under Paradox Interactive but there is no map directory under Paradox Interactive. Thx

You have to go to Steam Apps and then click on Common, then Vicky 2, and map will be there. Leave a response if you need more clarification.

Oh, and leave Quad Textures alone.

Now, I have had another crash when I get to the "Processing Flags" part of the loading screen, but it just says Victoria II has stopped working.

I'm getting the same error. I've tried to follow the steps listed above, but I get the same error.

I've had this happen to me after every install. Deleting all the caches does work. Just make sure you are just deleting the cache files and not textures or whatever else
