I don't remember the combination right now, but it's arcane+fire mines that pretty much instantly gibs most small enemies

I like mines (mines are shiled + beam + anything except earth and ice). A clever way for setting my foes on fire. :)
Speaking of which, fire+earth area spell seems pretty strong, much stronger than fire or earth alone.
Also lightning+cold. Good damage and chain slow.
