Occupied Province Effect
So I am playing Brazil, with a decently large IC, but I have a 50% occupied province effect (which obviously massively decreases my overall IC), how do you get rid of this effect? Does it just naturally go away or do i have to do something?

Any nations has a 'core' provinces, these are national provinces according to (relatively) historical claims. Factory and resource output in these provinces is at 100%. However any non-core province only gives a maximum of 40% factory and resource output (i.e. a non-core province with 10 factories will only give you 4 IC). So, for instance, Brazil has cores on all of Brazil - but any province it conquers outside of Brazil will only give a maximum of 40% resource and factory output. This is further decreased due to partisans (revolt risk) - you can increase it from 40% to 55% if you install a 'Prince of Terror' as Minister of Security in your government.

I hope this makes sense.

You can create puppet states to decrease that effect (less occupied provinces).
