I tried to play the new update for a bit. Seems like nothing was added in at the time. Did look really good compared to what it looked a few days ago. More colorful.

Hello Tisuko,

Did you switch to the BETA branch? If you didn't, please see the patch notes on how to switch.

Thank you.

I was on the beta branch. Ran through the city area for a bit, didn't see any loot or zombies. Figured you hadn't added them back in yet.

update looks really promising altough playing was a bit confusing for now
1) after coming out of the sewer/camp area into the city area,i didn't know what to do,i looted a few things but that's about it.

2) i found some resources like fabric, food and medicine, but have no idea how to 'give' them to the camp.

3) in the crafting tab,i could select barrack upgrade, which i crafted and because i had the materials i tried to assemble in the assembly tab,but that didn't work
have no idea what to do in the camp tab,i could put that barracks upgrade that i crafted somewhere but that didn't do anything as far as i know...

4) i fell of the map after going to far in the wood area,i also got stuck running up the bridge

short version, looks VERY promising but very confusing at the moment

Hello Verdakyll,

This release is basically a demo of the new features. Currently you cant add any resources to the camp, this functionality will be added in the later release. The 2.0 is a platform that will allow us to transfer all of the features from the previous version to the new 2.0, with all of the new cool stuff! :)

Thank you.

Looks fantastic graphically now and the music is so chilled and relaxing. Well done

Going onto the raised roads caused my character to go into a swimming motion. I would either go through the road and land on the gtround below or fly in the air for a bit before landing. Fun to watch it though.

Very good Demo. I need to admit controler is much better, graphic is really good, new loot system is nice, crafting gonna be easy with all these icons and sorting.
Now the question is when it is gonna be more then little demo ?

BTW Yes with all these changes this game gonna reach completly new level.

Hello Sic_24,

I will be releasing updates every two weeks with new functionality and features. Sometimes smaller updates might be on a weekly basis.

The short term plan is to expand and polish the controller first, add the melee (That I CANT WAIT to show you guys, it's astonishing and totally awesome!) and gunplay. Then expand the camp and start rebuilding the world to fit the new features.

Would much rather have "sprint" as a "toggle action" instead of "hold key" action.
CrochaN  [developer] May 15 @ 12:23pm
Yes, I plan to have sprinting and running as toggle.
tisuko May 15 @ 4:21pm
Can we have the sprint optional at least?
Not sure what to think at the moment. I'll have to try it more later.

The interface for the various screens and the production items should end up a better choice, although currently using the ALT key is meh. I'll have to find a good keybind for it, although it is okay.

The Camp should work out okay as a way to start, it might also make more logical sense to be underground.

The big problem for me at the moment is I'm down to 10 fps or less across the board. The other big problem is that the launcher options don't really make much difference.

You've got a lot of filtering, the FASTEST thru FANTASTIC Graphics Options all have filtering or blurring.

Player controller takes a while to register anything for me, over a second some times, so I'm going to be hurting. It is more colorful.

Once I get used to where everything sorts out as scavenged items I think I'll be fine.

In the interim, it's basically unplayable for me, except as something to tour.

I was able to jump inside a crate where the NPC on my right was.

I hope the other created locations will be able to transfer readily to the new format.

SUMMARY:

Interface looks better. GUI and Production set-ups should work better. Performance is terrible once in-game for me at any settings. I'll have to wait for some optimization to really explore much. Camp probably makes more sense this way.

Only spent tens of minutes in the game. I'll look at it a bit more later, but this is basically a demo at the moment, proof of concept I suppose. It's definitely got next to zero gameplay, just an intro to the new format.
