no ****ing way to change fov?

Is there a way to change the fov? It´s way too low for me.
The ini files are encrypted. So any fix?

I tried http://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/ -doesn´t work
also tried https://www.widescreenfixer.org/ - doesn´t work

I´ve found this thread http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=20030&start=30 but flawless widescreen does not work for me. What am I doing wrong?

How bad is it? If it's Bioshock bad I won't buy it, but it is on sale right now at amazon...
