Spikeshot super charge?
If I hold the Spikeshot fire button long enough, the whole thing starts shaking and a couple extra 'prongs' raise partway down the barrel, and the entire front half of said barrel retracts. If I shoot from this point, absolutely nothing changes. Was this meant to be an alternate fire mode that got cut? It looks like it was supposed to be some kind of grenade launcher or something. Considering the time-delayed nature of the ammuntion, that would make sense.

The reason for this your accuracy greatly decreses. As if there is too much energy for the gun to handle and that eskews the shot. I imagine it's partly for multiplayer so a player isn't running around with a shot always primed to get around the time delay.

But the gun is more inaccurate in MP anyway, because there's a delay between when you shoot a spike, and when the game actually picks up on that.

Only if you are not host. If you are host or have very low ping, it works properly and is a very *very* lethal weapon (I've been using it in Xbox MP almost exclusively for the last 2 years) ^_^
