Explaining about it not working.
did you get a Friends request from some random person as well when you buy the game.
Download, or install Non-Steam Transformers: War For Cybertron and out key in install process.
Only on maybe well known sites such as gamestop, it might work, but I don't recommend it, only buy it through steam.
And if it comes with a key through steam or some other site, have them immediately send it to your email to have it as a reference for later, just in case you have issues during the game logins, or when installing the game for the first time.
I am sure some of you already know this.
If you got a key, go to the top of steam, click on "Games".
And then click on "Activate a Product on Steam".
Set your key in that, make sure you type it exactly how it is, no mistakes.
Then try the game again.
If it was a gift.
Click on "Manage Gifts and Guest Passes". And check to see if anything is under there.
Also check your email, the inbox and junk folder to find a key.
Ask the tech support from the website that you got the game from, to give you the game's key in your email.
You're telling me stuff that I already know. =P
On top of that, when I mentioned about the sites, I was talking to those that had their issues from the sites.
For those that have it in steam, that is why I mentioned if it was a gift and gave the info that I did, but that is common sense. =)
Many players had to call activision when the master servers were down from a storm, and many had to call activision when the master servers weren't showing the correct list of online players as well as every time you logged in at that time, there were a different set of friends in the "in game" friends list, I'm not late to know about the multiplayer issues, as I too had them at that time.
But the game isn't having those issues now. It would have to be from your end, as well as possible location issues, call activision about the problem, it's the dev's(High Moon Studios) fault for making the multiplayer part have hardly any options for joining and connecting, since there is only one button to click, just to join a game. And it's up to activision to keep their customers happy, not steam, so don't blame steam on that, because steam has nothing to do with it.
Also to note.
What I typed in this thread in my first comment, was not about those in game with not connecting to multiplayer, it was about those that have the invalid key issues, you need to contact activision or the site that you got the game through, for the key that is for this game, on this issue. Explain to them in most detail, or no one will know what you are talking about. In detail, explain everything about where you got the game from and what you did. Not to me, but to activision or the sites you got it from, even if through steam.
