need help

whenever i try to create an account it says invalid key code. i bought the game off steam. please help

Read many of the threads recently, everyone is already talking about it and I have alot of ways to help you in those threads, and read each page of each thread as well.

Don't forget to check other threads.

Contact activision about it, tell them got the game off steam, and if you got a cd key or not, as well as ask where you would need to find it and where to put it in, and explain to them in detail the issues when you try to create an account in game, that it says invalid key code, tell them many are getting this issue right now in the transformers: war for cybertron steam community game forum. Make sure to do the stuff I mentioned in the link below first.

Right now, its a well known issue at activision. A lot of people have called with this issue and their getting someone on it since so many have called and reported the same issue.

Hopefully they are getting someone on it, just because a lower end employee says they told the higher ups, doesn't mean they will do anything about it. From their point of view, they don't have time to mess around with an issue that could take time and money to deal with, and some random issue "for what they think" is costing them money, although of course that's not how I feel, they need to listen to their customers.

But I do hope they will fix the issue for all those that need it. And I do believe something is in the process.

When I called, I demanded to talk to a tier 2. he said they have been getting calls all week about it and have over 20 cases already in 1 week. He said its most def. on their end and since a large number is calling about it, they will escalate it.

Sounds more like their authentication server shut down or the CDkey algorithm fubared

Yeah it does sound like that's the issue now that they are actually admitting it is on their end, great news to know they are looking into it. =)

I'm curious though..
Although if the authentication server shut down, wouldn't that mean that those that already are able to play in multiplayer, would have to authenticate and not get through? You still have to login with each account name, and I'm able to create new account names as well in game all the time without this issue.
Because my game works just fine every time I login and always has, multiplayer also works fine for me in this game, and there are alot that are already playing multiplayer all the time in game.
