Current State of Game?
Krater got pretty mixed reviews when it was released (generally "lots of potential, but held back by X"), but I've heard good things since in terms of updates/patches etc. improving the game. What's it like now? Should I reconsider it?

Try out the demo - should give you a pointer if its your cup of tea. There are improvements done since release but more to come. I would say that we come pretty far but not yet there 100% (I guess one never reach there either, always stuff you wanna improve). There is still updates in the pipe for the game.

I liked the game in the beginning. However some of the design changes left me scratching my head. There is co op but you cant play the entire game in co cop just certain maps, the end boss is too overpowered at least for me and the stat system is somewhat of a mess. Great idea, great graphics only for the ultra hardcore, casuals need to apply.

I've only played 70 minutes so far, but I would definitely recomend it. It's fun and I'm glad I made the purchase

I've been wondering the same thing about the game, but I've decided to just quit being a cheap♥♥♥♥♥and spend $10 so my wife and i can play it.

Well, I've most certainly had a lot of fun with Krater (80+ hours spent on it) which probably means I've enjoyed it quite a lot.
But since there is a demo, try it..if you like it and want more, buy, if you don't just walk away ;)

BTW it's good to see that there finally is a demo :-)

I just grabbed it from the Steam Fall Sale for five clams and it's totally worth it. I just wish the UI was scaleable as it's really tiny and hard to see at higher resolutions. Love the music, particularly the main theme which is very Bladerunner-esque.
