Steam Sales, like this, are an excuse to donate to Indie developers
And get their game cheaply :p or so I feel.

I really like the look of this game, after watching a bit of a let's play, and looking at some forum reception, It looks worth trying, a developer worth supporting. I hope you guys continue to listen to the community and publish what you can :) I look forward to the download finishing, contemplating the DLC, but I already bought the Collector's edition, so I'll wait and see :)

I'm considering doing a Let's play of my own too if I enjoy myself :) If not, I'll shelve it till the Co Op experience is what I really want it to be (They mentioned that eventually they'd like to bring the whole Campaign to CoOp and what they're doing now is just to whet our appetite)

Anyone buy the new DLC? Anyone also buy this game because they were like "Well, It looks neat anyway", any thoughts? Experiences?

i myself bought this game instead of diablo 3, i was going to buy... but when diablo released and i've start to read forums, watch video reviews - i was pretty disappointed and happy had no pre-order. and then it comes out that i can play singleplayer only if connected to the internet... and singleplayer has ping?? i thought myself - WTF !?!?!? and all that for so many bucks?

and i saw colorfull krater logo on steam, click... trailer, trailer, screenshots and i already want to buy it! :D post-apocalypse atmosphere - love it! indi developer and 10$ for the game and all upcoming DLC and stuff - i'm on my way to support that guys and have a great time playing singleplayer not bounded to any connection.

I rushed through D3 with my friends, 1-60 in the course of a couple days, I had outrageous fun, but for some reason, I just didn't really want to keep playing, I had just obliterated the same game multiple times with only one class, but I didn't want to level the other ones, it was always like "meh, I don't want to go through the desert again" Great Game otherwise, but we're not here for D3 :p

I'm booting up Krater now, I hope you enjoy it:D I'm hoping to as well, should be a fresh experience with a new way of playing and a great story :)

Was really interested in the game when I first saw it but became a bit less so as it got closer to release, so I ended up not getting it till now. The three-man arrangement is alright (Dungeon Siege, anyone?) but the skills and classes seem /really/ limiting at a glance. It's a game I'd really find myself wanting to like but I guess we shall see once I get a chance to play a bit more.

I got into the beta before the release and became a fan instantly. I got the CE right away and did not hesitate for more than a few seconds to get the new DLC as well, partly because I already get almost 50% off just for purchasing it for $2 at the Fatshark store instead of 3€ at Steam.

Krater is far from expensive and i enjoy playing it a lot. The developers might require a lot more time to make the chances happen they plan for, but it's likely worth the wait. Keep it up, Fatsharks!

Fatshark is GRIN....

They are about as INDIE as Microsoft. They are a rather large company.

We are exactly 10 people on the Krater team. We have no publisher backing up the game.

We worked as subcontractors for GRIN on one game and there is about 10 people from GRIN working here now (same amount you can probably find at other developer based in Stockholm, its not like those people vanished when GRIN went bankrupt).

Get your facts right.

I did enjoy most of the game. However this game is strictly for the hard core in my opinion. The entire game is built around this. I think of this game like diablo on like the hardest mode they have. The 3 man idea is great in theory but playing this is frustrating, the medic will often end up in the front and get slaughtered, you have to manually heal your fellows while targeting baddies and dont get me started on the implant system, thats just a mess of a stat system. Co Op is only certain maps not the entire game. So much wasted potential it makes a little sad to see the direction of this game. I could go on further but it makes me too sad.

I agree. Good job on Krater Fatshark, now hurry up with more free content :-)

I would enjoy a pause to the action for more tactical play with the 3 man concept, because you're right on the fly positioning can get dicey. To be true, Dr. Cerebro as a healer makes things a bit easier with his HoT and AE heals. I would like to see the classes have a greater variety of abilities or greater variety to changing their affects. Still, fun game :)
