Krater Co-Op issue!
My girlfriend picked this game up for us a while ago, but we decided to start playing it now. Of course, we want to play with one another, but alas, it seems that was not meant to be:

1. She hosts the game.
2. I join.
3. We play for a few minutes, before I crash out.

We tried something different:

1. I host the game.
2. She joins.
3. We play for a few minutes before she crashes out.

The first attempt was done on Medium. The second was done on Easy.

I can't imagine that we're the only ones experiencing this issue. And it used to work! We played it for a few hours when she originally picked it up!

So what's going on? :(

O_o

Good question.

Can I have console logs from both of you? Fatshark can use them to trace what's gone wrong if I can't find a solution.

Is there an email address I can send it to?

Just upload the log files in a zip or rar package and post the link here :P

Cheers, I'll check it shortly, just got another issue to sort out.

Okay, that's annoying, no error messages T_T

Which is the main thing wrong actually, if the engine crashes it _should_ leave an error message at the end of the log with a stack trace.

Try this:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

And let me know if there's any file/files downloaded and if it works. Otherwise if it's not the game stuffing up, I'd guess it's a connection issue.

Anyhow, hopefully verifying works *fingers-crossed*

I already did that. One file was picked up again. The log I sent was for the crash subsequent to my revalidating and erasing the AppData files.

Thanks.

So then, what's the set up for you are your girlfriend playing Co-op? i.e. are you both behind the same router and do you regularly play co-op together with other steamworks games with no issues?

Also, this might be of use if you haven't done it already:

Cheers!

She's in Argentina at the moment. And we play many, many games together, every day or every two days, including MOBAs, ARTS games, MMOs, FPS and the list goes on. This is the only one that has ever failed for us.

Bloody odd then.

But without an error message in the console log there's not much I can do to try and work this one out sorry :/
runemaster Jun 23, 2013 @ 8:36pm
So you're saying no one else has this issue then? :/
The_Mess Jun 23, 2013 @ 8:40pm
I'll do a trawl through the forums tonight, but I was kind of missing in action thanks to depression symptoms when the co-op dropped so missed seeing all the various issues :/

I Lied, did a trawl anyhow, and you two are seemingly the only two with this exact problem
:(

*sigh* if there was any sort of error message in the log I'd be happy, but all it looks like is the game being shut down via external means or via a fatal internal error.

I'm assuming single-player works fine though?

The Single-player works fine, but the multiplayer is realy broken, and 10 minutes of co-op the game crashes

We got the same problem, this must be some error of game....

Thanks, any chance though I can have the console logs from both you two and your co-op partners that correspond to the timing of the crashes?

Just wanting to make sure there's no error messages in the logs that might indicated wtf is happening with these damnable crashes.
