UPDATED: Trackpad Issue on MacBook Pro...Game *NOT* unplayable

[WORK AROUND] Use a bluetooth or USB mouse. It can make "playing-as-you-lounge" a bit harder, but the game is well worth sitting at a desk for. Thanks to Babak for the tip. My puny brain was too feeble to consider actually plugging a mouse in :P

The game starts up and the graphics load just fine. Clicking on buttons works fine...but once the game loads and it is time to move my character the game doesn't register any of my clicks to make motion commands. I can click the floating windows and drag them around, but any time I click the ground to move or make a waypoint the command does not register, making the game frustratingly unplayable...

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Has anyone come up with a work around?

After a few tries, either getting major frame rate lagging issues or my mouse clicks not working in the game I stopped trying to run the game on my mac. Only way I can play on my mac so far is with bootcamp.

I am having the same problem on my MBP. The only workaround I can suggest is to forget about the game. They released this unplayable version for mac without fixing the game stopping bugs for the PC. The worst part is that it is a really good game (the little I've been able to play), so I suggest you not play it, otherwise you will just be frustrated when it inevitably breaks again.

I really feel bad for you guys. I have to say I just bought the game and I tried it on my mac pro and it works like a champ. I played it for couple of hours and had no issue what so ever. The only thing I have to admit is I have a Razer mouse for gaming and it works fine with my mouse but I couldnt play the game with trackpad. I wish you guys could find a work around and play this game because its a very good game. On other hand the more Mac games us mac users buy the more games will be available for mac which is a blast. :)

Thanks Babak. I didn't think to hook up my mouse before... a-DERP... now I can play fine.

Ugh; seriously? although I'm sure I'll enjoy this game later when I can sit at a desk or on my PC; I grabbed this game hoping to play it on the bus tomorrow; kinda hard to plug in the mouse there......

I have the same problem on a mid-2009 MacBook Pro. Had I known, I wouldn't have bought it.

Suspect it's a driver issue on the engine's side.
