Krater
Mayhem MK13
His melee skill description says it builds 'ability points' when you backstab an enemy. His ranged laser attack apparently uses these points to increase the damage. The problem is I can't see anything on the hud indicating how many of these points I've built up.
I'm not sure his melee skill is even working properly. Often I'll just spam it without moving him behind an enemy and sometimes still see the bloodsplash and accompanying sound effect even if the enemy is facing him.
Also, why doesn't he have a character portrait? He and Dr. Cerebro have human slayer/medikus portraits even though they're mutants/cyborgs.

Is it possible to recruit more than one Mayhem?

Dr. Cerebro is a mutant healer. Cerebro used to have a similar appearence to a regular mutie healer, just with some different gfx

Mayhem is a cyborg, and is based on a mutant slayer (unless Fatshark changed it)

On each profile you can only have 1 Mayhem MK13 and 1 Dr.cerebro as they are special characters.

Fatshark have said that they are developing cyborgs as a 'race' that will be added later
I just recruited Mayhem and Cerebro again in Hesselby. If what you say is true then that must be a bug.
Having two Mayhems is pretty cool though.
Well as far as I know they are unique characters, meaning you should only be able to recruit them once on a profile. (aka if you have a second profile/start a new game you can recruit them again for that).

Though I am not a Fatshark employee so what I say is not 100% certain.

But it does seem a bit weird if you can have 2x Dr.Cerebro (a unique char) on the same profile and use them at the same time, don't you think ?

Anyway I tested it on my Krater and I don't have Cerebro multiple times (I don't have the mayhem dlc so cant check that) and I can't find him again on any recruitment officer once I have recruited him.
However if I start a new profile he is available on that new game to.
Though I don't know, maybe he appears randomly at the recruitment officer even when I already have him

So conclusion must be : I'm not certain, but I think it might be a bug that you are able to recruit them multiple times on the same profile (in the same game and have them on the same team) that should imo not be possible with a unique char

Well there is an bug/exploit that if you get one of the named characters and rename them they are suddenly someone else and you are able to hire another one of their kind. Not a biggie if you ask me as none of them are OP.

Regarding the ability build up - yeah we will along with the addition of more build up abilities add better HUF/FX indication of the build ups. But, if I am not mistaken you need to gain five points to release the eye laser with full effect.
True not a biggie.and its not about being OP anyway ;-) It's just wrong to be able to have a unique character on the same team more than once...it would be like the emperor in star wars having 1000 deathstars..it would still be a cool awesome construction, but having 1000 of them just makes it an ordinary item and not a unique one
I did change their names. After changing them back Mayhem and the doc are no longer available for recruitment (until I change their names again or the ones I have die).

So what are your thoughts about this. Its an easy fix from our side. Should we prevent several clones of the named characters or would you like to keep the possibility to have several of them if you change their names?
From my pov (with option 1 being my preferred way)

1. I would like to only be able to recruit the characters once from each profile I have (aka 1 time in each new game). If they die, they die and its my own fault and if I want them back I have to start a new game. Imo that's the way it should work with a unique character.

2. I could see others making an argument, that if the unique character died, they should then be able to rerecruit them again once the dead character is removed from their team. So they always have the option of having their unique character without having to start a new game.

3. Leave it as it is and let people decide on their own if they want to rename the character and recruit more of them in the same game.

Of all these things option 3 is very much the easiest one to do, since it requires no work at all ;)
But as I wrote, I personally prefer the option 1.
Anyway, probably necessary to have more people say what they would like to do instead of listening to me ;-)

Leaving things as they are would be easiest. I agree with Wiredhands though and they should be unique as they were intended.
I'd prefer option 3. Let people play the game the way they want. :)
