There are some technical issues on some computers it seems (I haven't had any), but that can happen with an indie game (expecting a game being developed by 10 people to run without any technical issues on each and every possible computer configuration is unreasonable in my opinion). Those issues (if they arise) can be solved with a little effort in most cases.
As for the game itself, think squad based Diablo. You will have a team to choose Squadmates from (You use 3 at a time) and you will during the course of the game switch out characters for better ones.
Each character can use one weapon and a gadget (can be anything from a first aid kit to a grenade). You will find or craft better ones as you go along.
Leveling up doesn't work automatically, rather each level (called rank in the game) allows you to use another implant. Each implant adds to your stats (Strength implant increases strength, which increases melee damage etc.).
There is no skill tree as such, each "class" has two skills and each skill can use up to 5 boosters (unlocked with gaining rank). This allows for a lot of customizing (add a strength buff to the healing Aoe or damage).
I'd recommend looking at a Let's Play to see if you like what you see. I never regreted buying this game, but tastes do differ (A modern warfare FPS could get perfect ratings from all reviewsites and still I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole).
There is no support for Windows XP or DirectX 9. As for other issues, if its
dependant on netframeworks/visual, lot of games tend to crash when they
overlap. I havnt installed yet. Just a thought.
Game works great, kinda fun. For a indie game, so much potential for a good game.
Reminds me of fallout brotherhood of steel for ps2.
