Krator Keeps crashing..
I have read the Krater Support 101 through and Krator still does not work, there are no erros in my crash log, I have done the VGFC 3 times and reinstalled it 2 times, but it does not change anything, when I do the VGFC it says one file is remaining and after that it will download it, but it does not help. When it crashes it just goes black screen, it does not say that the program has stopped working, it just goes black screen, I am not sure if it has anything to do with SteamCloud, but I wont even be able to start the game if I don't use SteamCloud, if I do so, it says "please log into steam" and then it shuts down.

Thanks for the help!

Right, can I have you log files please from the black screen runs please?
Do you have an e-mail so I can send it to you?

posting it on pastebin or a similar site and posting the link here would be ok i guess.
While you are at it, you might as well add a dxdiag with it so Mess can see your system specs.

Cheers, sorry for not relying until now, got off the anti-depressent nortriptyline over x-mas/new years and that's caused me serious insomnia...

Anyhow, skimming through the log I can see the game engine logging is pointing towards the graphics card/driver version as being at fault. So then:

1) I see you've got a laptop with nvidia switchable graphics, you absolutely need to force the nvidia card for krater, as if the mobile driver switches krater, while it's running, onto the intel HD graphics chip, krater will crash. See the Support 101 thread for the how-to.

2) The other cause for this crash is old graphics drivers, and luckily for nvidia owners, nvidia finally fixed the driver bugs that were causing issues for 400-600 series card owners, so it's safe to update. The latest can be found via

Otherwise no other major issues are seen in the log, though I recommend setting the ingame resolution to match your monitors resolution as icon mismatches can result otherwise. So yeah, krater should run, but if not let us know!

It's short for DirectX diagnostic tool, basically you can find it by writing dxdiag in the windows quick search and it'll find dxdiag.exe, it can make a text file with your system settings etc which in general makes it easy to find driver versions etc..but anyway, mess seems to have looked into the problem by using the log file. Hope it works
