Dear developers, I give up on Krater
Honestly, I am sick of it. I bought the the game before release and although the beta had its problems the game showed a lot of potential.

Then Krater was released and it was sad to see that many of the issues were not fixed and that the problems that were adressed by the community were adressed reluctantly.

And the biggest problem I had with Krater (along with MANY other players), namely the tiny font that makes crafting almost impossible for me, because I can´t read crap even at low resolutions, was never adressed at all. I was always hoping that something would happen, but after I started the game after some time I had to discover that not only my save files were gone, but after the latest patch the game crashes back to desktop whenever I try to start a new game.

I said it before - Krater is a charming game. So charming in fact that that I bought it as early access even if this kind of game is usually not my cup of tea. But now I am sick of this crap. I am sick of crashes still happening, I am sick of needing a telescope to read in-game text.

With kind regards, a disappointed former Fatshark customer.

I'm now 5h into Krater and I did not encounter any glichtes or bugs yet; neither did I have any crashes. I can only say, that I started to play krater for the cards but then I liked it and went on playing...it is really fun! I did not expect that. I would give it 75% or 7,5/10

i get stuttery lagg on even the lowest settings.. i aggree , it looks like it would be an awesome game.. but gues an i5 with 8 gb of ram & 1gb vid isnt enough..... strange..

Now that is really strange. I have an ADM x4 640 (3ghz) and it runs smooth without any fps problems. However, I would suggest you control your cpu temperature and/or video card temperature as well..maybe it is not the game but your hardware? Furthermore, close all apps and/or use CCcleaner to deactivate most of the autostart apps.

thats a little much, considering i can run deadspace 3 or arkham goty edition with little to no lagg.. i aggree with the temps tho.. This heap gets pretty hot sometimes..

True, but have one thing in mind, being able to run most of the games smoothly doesn't mean that you have no hardware problems. Most of the time they run just fine until you encounter a problem with some other game or application. Some games are cpu demanding some only video card..for example: I'm able to max out everything on Crysis 2 and having an average of 40 fps yet I cannot max out Star Wars the old Rebpulic (when in an area with lots of people) because my fps drops from 100 down to 10 fps and this game is by far no spectacular game when it comes to graphics; or take Medieval 2..same applies there.

Agree with McAlien,

buying the game, I want to install it and play, and not every minute fumble in the system and improve something, because the game is blocking this or that. Only with this game I have such problems. And as it turns out I'm not alone with this.

Krater SoS is awesome and I love this game, this world, but only when it works.

FATSHARK, please, ...

Krater does have its fair share of issues, and have always had it (unfortunately). I have played it a lot relatively problem free, some 80+ hours, I just avoid multiplayer like the plague, since imo total mistake they spent time on that instead of fixing all the other bugs..I mean why release a buggy multiplayer patch when the single player still needs some fixing..

Fatshark is probably not at current in a financial position were they can allocate programmers to fix the issues as far as I know (Though I do not speak on behalf of the developer, what i write is only based on what I read in other posts and as community helper on the old steam forum). Not to mention that they are working on other things atm.

It's a damm shame really.

Loads of things we have to correct in the settings file manually should imo be under an advanced tab in the gfx options(which it isnt), font should be scalable, but it isn't etc etc etc.

dr. Ellis, if you don't mind playing around in a settings file manually, you could look into this thread

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2813707

It tells a lot about how the gfx settings work and how you can make the game run smoother, I would have preferred if these were available in game, but unfortunately they aren't, so manual fiddling is needed. Hope you can get the game smoother and more enjoyable for you.

Fatshark's patching QA has always been abysmal, as evidenced by their other games. It's unfortunate, too - their ideas are top-notch. It's just too bad they can't pull them off as advertised.

I agree with you but the bugs that are corrpting save games over and over again are surely more important than small text? If the devs cant even be bothered to fix actual game breaking bugs than what chance do you think we have of getting small text changed?
