Who is GMAN?
I think that GMAN working on Aperture Science or Alliance or he from Xen, because vartigounts can contact with him. Your ideas?

That wouldn't make any sense. In Half-Life 1 he wanted Gordon to kill the Nihilanth so that the G-man and his employers could take control of Xen.

There isn't any real evidence to back this theory up so I'm going to say no.

Again, that wouldn't make any sense. If he was affiliated with the Rebels then why did he allow the Advisors to kill Eli?

The G-man was made to represent Valve. In HL1 and HL2, G-man sets up certain events so that Gordon can fufill a certain objective (killing the Nihilanth, killing Breen, etc.).

At the end of HL2 he mentions the "illusion of free choice". Meaning that whatever choice Gordon has no say in anything, and that everything is up to Valve/G-man.

1)Maybe he is Gordon's father? He know that gordon cant say anything...
2)GMAN interested in Shepard and Shepard konws too much and he leaved him alive. But he didnt interested in Eli but he knows too much, too. Thats why gman allowed advisor to kill Eli

Gman isn't a human cause if he was I don't think any person can freeze time. The G-Man is whatever you want him to be. Gordon wants him to look human, so Gordon has that of him.

Don't we see/hear a very similar version of this Gman in the opening sequences of DOOM 3 ?
I think it's the same voice actor... and it seems to be a proto-Gman that we see there.

Origin of Gman is from Doom 3 ?

They never said Gordon was mute, they said he didn't talk much. For all we know Gordon's been talking but we just don't hear anything, similar to Blue Shift and Opposing Force.

I think that there's a completely different third-party in play here. I don't think that G-Man serves the Combine or the Rebels/Vortiguants. I think that there's another person or another group (certainly not human) orchestrating the events of the universe for its/their own needs. Maybe the G-Man works for them?

That being said, I don't know if we'll ever find out who the G-Man really is (even if HL3 comes out). Also, do we really want to? Part of the fun of the original Half-Life and HL2 is knowing that this mysterious "G-Man" is following you around, without knowing who he/it really is. If we found out who the G-Man is conclusively, then that might take away a part of what made the first two main games so special.

I don't know, just my opinion, but it's something to think about.

He is a high-level agent.

He is actually an employee of Valve. After Half Life 1 and 2 he basicall says "Thanks for playing our game, stay tuned for our next one."

I think he is an alien in a human body, he belongs to a different group of aliens.
