HL (1998) to HL2 (2004) = 6 years

HL2 (2004) to HL3? (2014?) = 10 years

HL2: EP2 (2007) to HL3? (2014?) = 7 years

Wishful thinking.
infact i mean 6/7 years fro finish of HL2 and hl2 have( hl2, hl2 ep 1 hl2 ep 2)

I don't think we're getting a HL3 demo this year, but a Source 2 tech demo sure wouldn't surprise me.
Half-Life wasn't vanished since Episode 2 release. Valve has been expanding that universe with the Portal games, the last one (Portal 2) being released in 2011.

I say, they'll show HL3 in 2015, and release in 2016.
If they miss a 2016 release, I think Valve will be making a very bad call...

EDIT: Also, if they release a HL2:EP3, it think it will be some kind of prologue and will be coming out shortly before HL3.
