Are they going to continue the story? I can't imagine you guys that have been waiting eight years...and counting for the next episode. I see the last sequel came out eight years ago. They have an almost guaranteed billion dollar hit I'd venture to say.

I just finished binge playing the entire Half-life series only to discover there is more story and I'm left hanging. Argh.

on a more serious note, the delay in the production of hl3 is probably because of the engine they're working on, im pretty sure in the dev commentart of episode 1 that they were going to use some mechanic used for the striders in half life 3, but i dont remember it exactly.

I believe it has been confirmed that they will work on it, but as you may or may not know they are working on their next engine source2. Along with that they also have to manage their other games at the same time. Making a new engine is no simple task, and surely takes a bit longer than a regular game. I would say maybe next year around halloween, since they have been working on source 2 for a little while now.
