GMG is just the publisher, and have very little (in fact close to zero) control of the games, and just distribute and help market them. While the developers are in full control of the actual games GMG publish.
So really what you are doing is punishing the developers with that mindset, and not GMG. With that said, I am also very much a supporter of voting with your wallet. And if you are unhappy with the service GMG provides, you should let them know.
But please understand that the we are not the developers of The Black Death and have no affiliation with them apart form being published by the same company.
Just figured I'd make sure people understand the situation :).
BUT you must understand that PUBLISHER no means DEVELOPER.
Of course this might not guarantees security that the game is nice, but that has nothing to do with the story of The Black Death.
Its your choice, i will have only explained the difference.
Apparently someone failed to read the posts above.
Your argument made me laught so hard.. To be fair "Kristoffer" the Devs and the Publishers are a team.. Should be one, If there is a problem with the game.. It makes it the publisher's problem considering sales will do ♥♥♥♥ on ♥♥♥♥ games... My opinion...
tbh regarding The Black Death, it was a huge fail because it was nowhere near ready for release, even into EA, and I'd be very very surprised if it wasnt the publisher (GMG) who pushed the release of that title, so I'm not sure how much weight your statement holds
You are right about the fact that the publisher and developers are a team but you forget one important thing, take this example:
"Do you think the developer as a writer and publisher has precisely the task of putting it on the market"
I do not think that the publisher can influence much on product quality, know what i mean?
If the game will prove a failure, repeat, it has nothing to do with the story of The Black Death, maybe just the fact that the publisher gets a bad reputation.
Only because they have the same PUBLISHER ?
