Does anyone know if there will ever be a sequel?

That's sad. I noticed that on Wikipedia that they just create iPhone games after their first game (and gem) Bard's Tale.

I doubt it, but to be honest, why would they re-release an old game out of the blue on steam?

They may actually be making a sequal, or they knew the old fanbase would grab at the chance to get it on PC like i did, for a quick extra buck, which wouldn't suprise me to be honest, worth the price anyway, i loved the game when i was younger, got a kick out of it now.
Lets assume though (Or hope) they put this game on steam, to hopefully bring people to the attention of perhaps a bard 2 :p

Unless the studio is big enough to handle multiple parallel projects, it seems unlikely they would be working on a sequel. They recently raised a lot of money on Kickstarter to develop Wasteland 2, so that will tie them up for the next year (at least).

The recent re-release of this game on various platforms seems to be self-published by inXile, so they probably own the rights to the game (so they either never gave them up, or they reverted from the publisher). So presumably they have the right to make a sequel in future if they want to.
