I never knew this was available on PC!

A month or so ago, I gave Fable and Bard's Tale XBOX in to a shop because it was such a hassle to set up the XBOX (my space is quite cramped as it is). I was always planning to rebuy Fable on the PC (albeit The Lost Chapters, which I never played), but it seems I may have to pick this up too!

What are your opinions on the game?

Myself, I thought it was OK. It was a bit tricky at points, and the humour was probably geared more towards an American audience for my liking, but I was quite pleased with all the activities you could do in the game. It looked like a game that could last quite a few play throughs.

Needless to say, I never got round to finishing it, so I'll gladly take this opprtunity to repurchase it and play it through properly. That is, unless the PC conversion is a catastrophy.

PC port is good, moreover, I played ps2 version and prefer it on PC. And the game itself is worth it in my opinion. Love the songs, especially the nuckelavee one.

Yeah, I did get it in the end. That sentence where I suggested I might not get it if the "PC port was a catastrophy" wasn't going to deter me from getting it.

It was under £2/$3.50 after all. But thanks for the replies.

I actually never had a Xbox and stumbled over it when i was watching a video about the new OUYA, which also got a Bard's Tale port. Then i discovered it on Steam. Played it on Windows 8 without any problems except that some installation routine wants to do some tiny stuff each start.
The game itself reminded me of older games like Champions of Norrath, even though these games have a superior combat system.
Bard's Tale could be a lot better with more work on the gameplay and item management, but i enjoyed its humor and it was much longer than i expected it to be.

Rezzing this old topic but you know what's funny overseer, it's made with the same game engine used in champions of norrath.
