Please add an option to disable rumble! Also, videos are corrupt on my system
I'm playing with mouse and keyboard and all of a sudden my 360 pad starts vibrating. It almost fell off my desk.

I found no way to disable this in the game - how can I disable vibration?

And videos look half-corrupt on my system and I'm not sure why.

I found this fix for disabling the controller altogether, seems to work with every game that I've tried it with.

The corrupt video has already been discussed, it's caused by a windows update

Well I'm not removing the windows update patch just for this game. The devs are still around, so they should fix the game. :P

But thanks for the other solution. I'll give it a shot. Maybe I'll be able to go one round without my gamepad vibrating off my desk.

It's not uncommon for windows updates to break stuff (create graphical glitches), and this patch seems to affect other programs than just Ion Assault, so I think you'd be safe uninstalling the update. But of course, you can also wait for the devs to fix it, only I think the problem's on Microsoft's end.

For the first problem I feel like I may be missing something here, but is there something keeping you from just unplugging or turning off your controller?

Yes: I shouldn't have to unplug my gamepad to play a game.

All the 360 ports I've bought on Steam or elsewhere have an option to disable pad rumbling. Why doesn't this game have one? There aren't even any controller remapping or sensitivity options. Hell, for a game that was originally released on consoles, you can't even control the menus with the controller! That's just lazy. :(

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely agree that it should be in the options but choke back the indignation for a second and realize that you're complaining about someones laziness when there is a simple fix you don't want to utilize, out of laziness.

I refuse to uninstall the Windows Update patch, but I -am- going to use the DLL thing duKe linked me to. I've used that program before and had no idea it was possible to use it that way. I already downloaded the file from his link, I just haven't used it yet.

Almost had ♥♥♥♥ing heart attack. Why does it use rumble when I'm clearly controlling with mouse.
That windows update was really minor one so I just uninstalled it becouse many of my games actually broke and risk is nonexisting.

You know that's the very 1st thing I formulated in my own mind. Just unplug the controller. That seems a lot easier than messing with anything else. But like I say on my profile, "Common sense isn't common".

Well at least for me the controller is plugged computers backside which is irritating to get off and then back on when starting to play with controller another game.
I know: first world problems. But then again there are people that may want to disable rumble even if they are using controller.

Everyone has paid for the game and many other game does switching even on fly and can disable rumble even on 10€ pricetag.

That's actually another point. Even when game can utilize controller it doesn't work on menus and game seems to keep PC controls UI in place all the time. Is it so hard that if I use mouse -> change UI and disable controller functions. If using controller -> hide mouse and change UI to xbox controller.
