So let me get this straight...
I can't wear my Exoskeleton in the tunnels heading to Pripyat from Jupiter? I'm guessing there must be a reson I need a closed breathing system, after reading the notes about the tunnel being gassed. So the Exo won't p;rotect me...right?
If so, I'm gonna be bummed. With all the drama around getting ready to make the trip, I'm assuming there's something horrible down there, and if I can't even take my best gear...well, that'll just blow.

Also...is there anything "special" about Nimble's version of the SEVA? Like, anything that makes it worth spending 10K more for?

You have to have a SEVA suit for that mission. No ifs, ands, or buts.

No. You're paying for convenience.

Felt the same way about my Exo suit, so I know how you feel.

Anything bought from nimble is just regular stuff for the "I want it now!" guy, nothing wrong with that, just has a fancey name, means nothing. So nope...

Wait...several of Nimble's guns are better, right? I mean, the Fraiser is an improved Viper, and the Eliminator is basically one-of-a-kind (unless you decide to kill Jack the bandit, or get lucky and find him dead somewhere). And Lynx is an improvement over the basic SVD. Am I mistaken?

Oh, and btw...thanks for the answers. Guess I'm ready to head out.

Some of thoses weapons systems its just a differnt name, no custom settings. A few may have some kind of custom settings, but nothing noticeable. I bought a SVD from him and got it upgraded right off the back.. I wanted it now! I haven't even got to Jupiter yet... and didn't care.. I just wanted that weapon in the here and now!

And your welcome..

All of Nimble's weapons are unique. Their stats, upgrades and attachments differ from the stock versions.

Since I have the CD DVD version and the DATA UNPACKER lets look at this for a second..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[wpn_fn2000_nimble]:wpn_fn2000
$spawn = "weapons\wpn_fn2000_nimble" ; name and section in level editor

cost = 20000

Besides the price, were is the difference?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[wpn_desert_eagle_nimble]:wpn_desert_eagle
$spawn = "weapons\wpn_desert_eagle_nimble"
inv_name = st_wpn_desert_eagle_nimble
description = st_wpn_desert_eagle_nimble_descr
cost = 3500
fire_dispersion_base = 0.11 <---here is a difference
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
compair to

[wpn_desert_eagle]
fire_dispersion_base = 0.18 <---default
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
plus with upgrade

fire_dispersion_base = -0.05
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[wpn_desert_eagle]
fire_dispersion_base = -0.13 <-default after upgrade, difference by what? 1....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So Like I said, since I been in and out of stalker mods for the entire stalker series since the release of SOC with even data-unpackers and allspawn unpackers and editors....

Far as i know you need a seva or ecologist to advance the mission and be able to enter the underpass, but once there i believe you can wear whatever you want. An exo with a seva helmet should work nicely.
As for the Nimble weps, i never cared much about getting weps from him but i found one that was quite a big improvement over the standard ones.
The March pistol from Nimble is an udp compact, but unlike any other udp compact i found in the game, this one is upgradeable to max tier.

This is one of thoses who have some kind of custom settings, according to the wpn_usp.ltx (that is what is, my choice side arm), the wpn_usp_nimble actuly has more really. all cam's dispersion's, all zoom's, all PDM's,. A fire dispersion base, control inertion, and crosshair inertion. And a rpm speed of 210 thats everything, according to this, should be a very acurate weapon.

I can't wear any helmets with my Exo (I'm playing vanilla, so maybe Misery allows you to do that). I was just wondering if I'm going to choke the whole time I'm in the tunnel. I actually went back to the Bloodsucker lair after gassing them, and w/o a SEVA (just my Sunrise armor with a Tactical helmet), I was able to walk around in there as long as I had a Meat Chunk equipped. BUT I was coughing and choking the whole time, which would probably get pretty annoying in a fire-fight,

And yea, the March is an improvement over the base UPD Compact. I got it and after comparing the two base versions (i.e. before any upgrades), it had better stats. AND it can be upgraded to full auto, which is kinda nice for a 16 round, 45 cal, .7kg side arm.

There are only some areas where there is gas in the tunnels, the rest is clean, so if you can survive the gas, you shouldnt be choking for a long time.
Anyway dont forget to save on a new slot before going in, just in case.

I would wear that SEVA but carry that exo suit if you end up needing it..make sure you upgrade that , carry some anti-gas pills..

OK, I going in. Thanks for the tips. I'm primarily concerned with weight restrictions, since I want to be sure I have plenty of ammo and weapons. The extra 30 kg w/ the Exo is nice.
I'm also going to try playing around with Hercules drug. One dose lasts for 5 minutes, right? So I figure, how long can the tunnels BE? No more than 30 minutes, I'm going to assume. So if I bring 8-10 doses, I can carry a LOT of stuff. Anyway, I'll obviously do a hard save before I finalize my load-out, so I can correct any mistakes.

good luck stalker..

LOL...ok, so I made it through the tunnels, and as is usual for me, I over-thunk it...Once there, it was pretty straight-forward For the record, the Exo with meat chunk worked just fine...never even had to switch suits or take any drugs.

I did run into an interesting glitch, tho, and I wondered if anyone else had this problem. From the time I entered the control room, (the place where you eventually get ambushed by Monolith), I couldn't save. Any attempt to save, whether quick or hard, resulted in a crash due to "X-ray engine has stopped working". So I had to load my last save (which fortunately was just before I entered that room), and then finish the tunnels w/o any more saves. Wasn't too difficult...had to re-start a couple of times, just 'cuz squad mates died and I was determined to get them all thru alive. And once I made it to Pripyat, I could save again.

Anyone else have this problem?

Oh, and one other question. Once I got to Pripyat, I apparently can't go back to Jupiter or Zaton before finding the Gauss rifle. I must have replayed that sequence a dozen times, trying to keep my squad alive, but I had a hard enough time just keeping ME alive. Is there any reason to make sure they survive, or is it ok that they all get killed? "Cuz I don't seem to be able to prevent it.
warcatt00 May 8 @ 5:36pm
I saved just before I hit the switch that triggers the attack, I remember that trick with the exo suit, I never tryied it...
