How do I start Mysteries of the Zone in Call of Chernobyl?

I think he walks between the Clear Sky base and the train car under the trestle at the NW corner of the swamp map.

Okay, also does the wish granter really do anything or does it just have silly easter eggs in CoC?

It's been a while since I went though WG options in CoC. I think asking for a wish will end the game like in SoC. There is an extended battle you can trigger (5 or 6 waves of monolith).

The "I wish the zone didn't exist" one crashes the game with WISH GRANTED in the error message, wish for peace removes every NPC, wish for wealth gives you one of everything, wish for immortality makes you immortal but turns your faction to monolith. I dunno what control does.

Ah yes, those sound familliar. I think immortal is becoming a zombie.
