Kitty Powers' Love Life is a game in two parts: a light city builder and an indirect dating sim. The city builder portion is light, nothing more complex than you'd find on a free-to-play mobile game; as long as buildings are connected to roads, everyone can get everywhere without problems. No building is required necessarily, as they all feed into the indirect dating sim part. To grossly oversimplify, you could think of the city building part as nothing more than an exotic menu to get you to the rest of the game, though building smartly (the right buildings for the right clients in your village) will make the game a tad easier.

The indirect dating sim part is awesome. You pair up couples and help their relationships along when they call for help, and helping them takes the form of short mini-games. All the mini-games are simple to learn but can get tricky as they increase in difficulty. Most of the mini-games are either memorization-based or logic-based, though there are a couple that rely on luck. If you've played Kitty Powers' Matchmaker as well, the games are mostly new, but they're no more difficult or complex.

As with KPM, you create an avatar and can choose to send them out to the rest of Steam as randomly downloaded characters (with different names) in OTHERS' games. Do so and you get bonuses and in-game mail that tells you how your avatar is getting along. Pretty cool, and it favors your friends list over strangers, so if your friends play it too, you'll see them pop in often.

As you may see from the screenshots, the art style is cute and the colors are vibrant. It's adorable and really feels like the right art style for the game; pixel art or polygons wouldn't look right. Musically, the background themes are upbeat but relatively forgettable; this isn't an insult, but a compliment, as they perfectly accompany the game without distracting you from the mini-games.

I recommend the game without reservation, although depending on how many games you play, this may be more of a "time waster" for you rather than something you want to sink dozens of hours into. The cool thing is KPLL doesn't mind if you play that way; it's enjoyable and gives you new games as you go, so it still feels fun whether you only play it for a few hours or try to level up your "love coach rating" all the way.

This game is a lot of fun and a great time killer. It's also really nice to see more LGBT+ representation in games and game development. Really recommend if you enjoyed Kitty Powers Matchmaker or fun, casual games.

The micro-management of a simulation game mixed with mini games similar to the spirit of Kitty Powers' Matchmaker. There are a lot more layers to this compared to the first game. Gold is a bit harder to consistantly build up in the beginning, but it makes for a fun challenge. I meant to just give it a quick go but ended up accidentally playing for three hours straight so beware: it's addictive!

I love this game! Been waiting a long time for this to come out, and spended alot of time playing kitty power matchmaker. Hearing that a new game simular to it was coming out made me freak out (in the best way). This game was worth my wait and recommend it strongly. :)

The game crashed and it said I got the "Living Dangerously" achievement.

This game is fun for a little while but it's very slow paced and in the beginning there's almost nothing to do. Some of the mini games are based on chance or pure luck then you either have to pay to get some help or lose. Speaking of paying for things getting money in this game is too infrequent. It's one of the reasons the game feels so slow. Then once you get a couple to finally get to a good level to upgrade their relationship it's put on a wheel and if you just have bad luck you basically have to start all over and hope for more chances to crawl back up to where you were. I believe the punishments for bad luck should not be so severe. On top of those punishments it will ruin your reputation which you only have 1 chance a week to increase. You spend most of your time just waiting for things to happen or time to pass by so you can get to a scheduled appointment. This "game" feels more like a mobile game without the ads.

Perfect blend of a dating and time-management sim paired with a lot of wacky humor. (I had a client named Cliniqua Littleless.. what?) I'm a huge fan of anything made by Kitty Powers, as these games are always a unique and addicting experience, and this game is no exception.

this is not a bad game at all, but i much prefer the previous one. i only recommend it if you enjoyed matchmaker. i dont have too much playtime in so far, but i found there is not too much to actually... do in this game. its not bad though, just not totally for me. give it a try if you liked the first one. kitty powers is as funny and entertaining as always in this game, so thats something it has going for it.

It's not as fun or as entertaining as Matchmaker. Feels boring, slow and repetitive.
The pacing is too slow and it feels like a drag as it takes way too long to unlock things.

The week takes way too long to get through so I end up with hardly any coins so it's impossible to give makeovers. You only get money at the end of the week.
I see why it did not do as good as the first one. I liked Matchmaker a lot more.
This game also occasionally crashes.

It's something to play when I don't feel like playing anything much or don't have anything else to play. Even so I am not sure I can recommend as at times I just felt bored and wanted to play something else as it seems like a idle clicker game, the kind of game I dislike. It felt like I was watching paint dry like it says in the couples schedules.

Most of the mini games are sort of alright though a bit annoying as it is often luck and having to click at the right time, but I also hated some such as opening the asprin bottle and having to connect pipes and wires, I fail at those 99% of the time. I don't like the one where you watch the clouds as there is too much to try and remember and to observe and I fail that 50% of the time.
It's a very average game, I'd rate it 5/10.

If you loved Matchmaker, you will adore Love Life! Just as fun, just as addicting, and just as many unfortunate character names.
