Hmm
Kinda looks like a pre alpha stardew.

You realize there can be more than one farming game, right? (ever heard of harvest moon?)

Yeah but harvest moon looked like harvest moon, not a pre alpha stardew valley.

While I agree, Stardew Valley filled in a very major demand of HM on pc, I would still like to see the genre expand and grow. You just can't have that with one game, no matter how successful it was.

A. I don't really think it looks like Stardew honestly
and B. You can never have too many farming sims imo
(also C. idk what the point of you making this thread is???)

Was this made with RPG Maker, you think?
My wife will love this game. The mechanics on the xbox controller are confusing. Does anyone know a more simplified setup, e.g, A is INTERACT, B is inventory etc.

You can remap the buttons in the game settings.
Thanks Brian

I'm always surprised at how some people have no shame in trying to sell a clone.
@Yuuki I think the developer had this concept, albeit based on Harvest Moon, before Stardew Valley. As for clones, just check out the number of survival games, everyone a clone of the other. Just saying.

@British Cumudgeon Oh I'm sure Stardew's single dev went and made the game so fast this guy over here still hasn't released his while having the "concept" first. /s
Do you even have proof of your claim or you're just mindlessly trying to defend him?

Also what kind of mental gymnastics did you have to do to think that since others made clones of other games makes this one ok? Should I kill your friends and family and then tell you it's ok because there are other people who murdered before I did?

And no, not all survival games are clone of eachother.

@Yuuki: I know the developer, he's been working on this for years, before anyone even knew of Stardew Valley. It's been like around 2-3 years now? He's basing it off Harvest Moon, not Stardew (which is also based on HM).

No need to attack this little gem - he's spend a lot of time and effort getting to this point to release an early access.

@Celianna

Quoted directly from the dev of SV in the 1 year full release anniversary post on http://stardewvalley.net/

"Anyway, even back in 2012… when the game looked awful… there were people following it and encouraging me to continue. I appreciate that. To all of you who are reading this, who have played Stardew Valley and built an amazing community around it… thank you so much. [...]

Thanks for reading!

@Yuuki
Stardew Valley's development started in 2012.
Orange Season's development started in 2014.
Stardew Valley was released in 2016.

Both games are based on Harvest Moon. That's all there is to it.
Celianna Apr 21 @ 5:42pm
@Yuuki yeah it seriously doesn't matter which game began development first - they're both an homage to Harvest Moon.

Just because they're both farm games doesn't mean he's ripping off Stardew. Relax, Hudell placed in a lot of work in this.
