The second part, there are more than a year on Steam for Linux.
From what I understand, Grim Dawn has it's own joystick move implemented for the sake of making the "joystick cursor" mode obsolete. The trick with this is that when joystick move is enabled, the mouse cursor disappears. This can allow deeper customization by adding different movesets.
They also added the ingame commands whithin Steam which allows further customization (i.e: There's a "Pick Up Nearby Item" function inside steam).
Please consider it. Grim Dawn is fantastic with the Steam Controller.
PS: Your X/Z key to use Health/Mana potions doesn't work.
PPS: Made my own setup that works nicely. It's called "Runic Official Customized". Y'all check it out. ^_^
Not everyone wants to purchase an overpriced controller such as Valve's, Microsoft's, or Sony's. It would be nice to have controls similar to those of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Torchlight, along with support for generic controllers. The controller I use has a general layout similar to the Dualshock 3, but with the A, B, X, and Y buttons of an Xbox controller.
I seriously doubt this will ever happen, though....
