I'll keep trying to get things working 100% with the vive, including motion controllers, however it's not a promise as I'm not 100% sure I can get it working if / until I get hold of a vive myself.
Also again if the vive support stops or slows down too much I'll be compensating (none cash) anyone who purchased the game on the day of the store HTC misinformation.
Thanks for the support from the vive users trying to help me get things working!
Thank you very much. ;)
You need to manually run .exe file through third-party software..
Sounds kind of wierd.
Do you have plans to at last integrate re-vive into the game, so it can launch automatically or maybe native Vive support and motion controls support in the future?
Aerowyn was having some issue with Visual Studio.
The problem I'm having is my HOTAS can't move me around in the Galaxy Map and head movement seems to move off the default selection but can go to nothing else. I have no interest playing with a mouse/keyboard, that sounds like a nightmare in VR. And a controller defeats the purpose of the VR headset in the first place. I'm just trying to understand is this a problem with my HOTAS or is it just unwieldy?
Edit: Same thing when I try to launch it from within the SteamVR overlay, the button says "Play in VR" but I get the same warning.
The game was developed using the Oculus rift for the VR.
Whilst I do plan on implementing vive motion controller support.
I don't actually have access to a vive for testing right now.
I'm just going off what people who are playing with the vive are telling me.
So the game launches, and is playable in VR using the vive, however until I actually get hold of a vive, I'm afraid I'm a bit limited.
Any feedback from vive users is greatly appreciated, and I'll do my best to fix any issues until I can test myself.
Sorry for any confusion. Compatible was a poor choice of a word... it runs, but I'm sure there are a lot of tweaks to be made to run smoothly.
Thanks for the feedback!
Someone told me it booted up fine.. hmm
If using the revive injector for some people is the only way. I think until I get a vive for full testing, it may be best for you guys to wait awhile.
If any of you purchased it already, send a refund request to steam and get your money back guys. If you have any issues, add me / message me on steam and I'll help you out.
