Is there a way to speed the game up
As you the title suggests, is there a way to speed the game up at all? By speed up, sometimes there are super slow points and I would like to make the game speed quicker.

There is on the mobile version but not the PC one, unfortunately.

Dang it. Sometimes I just leave my computer for 10 minutes waiting for the spores to build back up.

There was talk of a patch months ago but nothing ever came of it. How does it feel to be a second class citizen behind mobiles?

Do not buy this game until they make a speed setting! It large amount of time doing nothing!

Actually, there are speed buttons in the HD version of the game, everywhere but not on steam.

Yeah that does not make any sense to me that there would be that option on a mobile version thats not on the steam version. If anything I would think it would be the other way around.

Well there is enough room for active strategies in this game. It's not only about waiting for a big army to build up and rush from planet to planet even if this is what one do most of the time. If one plays the missions with guerilla tactics the game becomes challenging and thrilling. No more time to idle.

Hrmmm, I'd pretty much pass on this game until they give a speed up option, unless you're looking for a game that takes about half an hour per level when it only relies upon about 4 minutes of interaction...

There is a way. I'm not sure if it's cheating or not, but it works.

Press ctrl+D to enable commands
Then speed up with + or slow down with -

You can check what speed is it in by pressing F12 (timeskip on top of screen), but it might show too much information about the planets as well.

They ported it to C++ for the HD version. It's coming to PC but not until next year

spike: I was actually browsing for fixes while I waited for more seedlings to spawn, and I found this, thank you so much, works awesome :)

The HD version is a completely different build - a rewrite, hence it's not an update. It will be on Steam in the summer but we don't want to release a beta/half arsed version of it so please bear with us. The HiB version was an early beta - stable but doesn't have some features/content we want to add.

...so besides alt+d, is there any way to speed up?

Ctrl+D, then +/- to speed up/slow down. That's it for the PC version.

I'm pretty sure that there is the option to speed up the progress of the game now. I have only recently started playing this and I believe the game gave me the option to go at a new, faster pace if I wished. However, I stuck with the standard speed as I hadn't played it before and had no idea how it all worked. I'm not so sure I do now after several hours of play but that's a different matter! :)
