Serious Sam 3: BFE

Language mods
With the addition of Workshop, as it becomes very easy for players to get custom mods, we would like to encourage all future custom localizations to be done via Workshop. I wrote a document describing how to do it[serioussam.com] on our wiki.

We are planning to simplify this for users even more, so that changing the game language to a custom one will be simply a matter of subscribing to a laguage mod, and that it will work even in non-moddable version of the game.

Nice one, I'll try this now.

I can't find *.tbl files in my Serious Sam 3 folder.
M 5 nov. 2012 às 4:46
Oh I've found them, it's hidden in those *.gro files. :X
AlenL 5 nov. 2012 às 4:53
That is supposed to be explained in the document. If it is too hard to find, let me know. :)

OK now I just realized there are many translation.tbl from those *.gro files, the lastest version for English text is 2506 right? (from All_171822.gro)

Ok, I have translated some stuff in the text file, and I want to test them ingame before releasing it on Steam Workshop. How do I do that? I have read this wiki page[serioussam.com] but not quiet understand, I don't know how to package my text file with Serious Sam 3 Editor. I tried to zip it with 7zip and rename to xxx.gro then start the game with +locale "xxx" it didn't work either.
AlenL 7 nov. 2012 às 7:35
#1 Make sure it is a plain old .zip file (InfoZip and PKZip compatible), not the new 7zip format.
#2 Inside the .gro (.zip) the file should be in Content/SeriousSam3/Locales/xxx/ folder.
#3 The .gro file must be put in Content/SeriousSam3/ folder.
If it still doesn't work, send a log file from a session where it doesn't start.

It's working! I made a mistake on the folder (used 'Contents' instead 'Content'), thanks for the help!

Got confused on some of the dialogue, I think there are stories behind these coversation, would be appreciated if anyone can help me figure them out.

"Hey baby! Was your daddy a pilot? Because you are....really freakin' ugly!!" - Sam said this on the first time he encountered the harpy.

"(It's too late, Tah-Um is coming to moon you.)" "Huh? He tries to moon me?" - This appears on one of the last levels before Sam went to the Time Lock, no idea what 'moon' means here :(

"Is your daddy a pilot? Because you are fly." Is a stereotype pickup-line. "Fly" would mean beautiful in this context. Just that she is not, so he changed his mind in mid-sentence.

Literally, Mental will hit the Earth with the Moon. But it is also a pun, as "to moon" someone means to show him your naked behind, if you know know what I mean. It is a kind of taunt.

One question about Beast Hunt/Team Beast Hunt mode...

If my score is 23,000 and I got killed by someone with a license to kill, my score decrease by 1,000? Or back to 0?

Second question, where can I find the graffiti for "And so was Smoe."? Tried to google it but couldn't find anything.

Thanks for the help!
