Does going over the estmated saves for the level deduct from the final score since Iam trying to tighten my scores up.

Yes it does. You might want to turn off automatic saving at checkpoints to be able cut down on saves.

So how much does it penalize I tend to quick save around the hard to get secrets thanks for the quick reply.

If you are up to the estimated number, there is no penalty. Above it, each save is penalized by 10000, if I recall correctly.

I never found a correct answer to this, I searched the internet a lot, I knew that my many saves were bad for my score but 10000 0_0 , and multiplied by the factor ????
I think impossible cause in games like Guardian I took over 200 and I am still in top 50
I am currently playing all levels on x84 with as less saves as possible to better myself.
Like the time penalty is so low that I can hardly believe that save penalty is so harsh.

Well, we just double checked in the code and in functionality, and it is 10000 per extra save. *Shrug* :)
