21:9 corrupted ? Sys hangs after i close it
strange....i can change the resolution to 2560x1080, ok fov suxx, have to change that but if i close SS3, the game hangs.... not with 1920x1080

You seriously expect that we can help fix your problem based on description of "fov suxx" and "the game hangs"? This is a joke, right?

We need to know how does it look when resolution is set to that, if you want that fixed, and also need crash logs to see what causes the crash if you want the crash fixed.

its serious, serious. i will take a look this evening...

and btw: its not really a 21:9. the resolution is maybe 2560x1080p but its somekind of 16:9ish....not really cool. sam is fat, the gunFov is fat.....any ideas ?

Well, we can give some ideas as soon as we see the log and screenshots. :)

Regarding the fatness of objects on screen, is your monitor really 21:9, or is that just the resolution? Because if the resolution aspect doesn't match monitor aspect, you get what is called "non-square pixels" resulting in such fatness.

Alenl: no, i cannot read on my monitor a ultrawide screen by phillips which is exactly a 21:9. im working as an it / web administrator, i know my business.

if i change to 2560x1080 its changing, tells me: is it ok. i say yes, the resolution switches back to 1920x1080 !

if i change it again, ss3 crashes...horrible.

finaly ive managed it to run. starting the serious exe as an admin ! why the heck needs an exe to be startet as an admin to change a resolution ?

Ah, I see it crashed, not just hanged. Can you please post the Sam3.rpt file so we can see what caused the crash and fix it in the next patch?
Regarding why it cannot set the 21:9 mode, the log seems to indicate that while your GPU enumerates the mode, it for some reason isn't able to create a 3D rendering context in that mode.

P.S. One thing I don't really understand.... why did you append "TOISLAMABAD" after each "OFFICAL" word? That doesn't really hide anything.

after all that ***, i decided to buy another harddrive, windows 7 prof fresh installation, everything is working now. i took over the existing steam installation.

so, i'm happy with this now.

btw: SS3's metascroe is too low....73 ? for me its a 101%

pure fun. we played ss2 at the lan coop the hole night until nirvana
